Evangelos Matragos graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 2002. His main discipline was Structural Engineering. He had his M.Sc in Management of Projects, at University of Manchester Institute Of Science and Technology with a specialty in Public-Private Partnerships and Project Finance.

He has published one paper during the  AATT international conference in 2008 titled  “PPPs  in  Transportation Projects in Greece Through a Comparison Between the Rion-Antirion Bridge and the Second Severn Crossing”

He has been employed in several companies, as Project Manager in several industrial projects around the country, as a Structural Engineer in the oil and gas sector participating in projects based in Kuwait, Lithouania and Motor Oil Hellas and as a Logistics Engineer in many local based projects.

He has participated, as an external consultant, in 8 co-funded European research projects, for the School of Transportation Planning NTUA.

He is accredited to curry out public structural and road works.

He is a Building Energy Auditor.

He is currently member of the Board of Directors at DESFA SA (The National Natural Gas System Operator)
