Charalampos (Charis) Michalopoulos graduated in 2007 as a Chemical Engineer, from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He received his PhD from NTUA (School of Chemical Engineering, Laboratory of Inorganic & Analytical Chemistry) with a major in Environmental Engineering.
He has published ten (10) peer-reviewed papers in reputed international journals and eight (8) papers in proceedings of international conferences.
Over the last 14 years, He has been employed in several companies, as Technical and Scientific Advisor. Main responsibilities:
- Supervision of greenhouse gas emission monitoring and carbon footprint calculation.
- Conducting and supervising feasibility studies as well as environmental impact assessment.
- Submission of research proposals to Greek and European authorities.
- Project management in energy projects.
- Chemical analysis of raw materials and final products.
He has participated in various research projects at NTUA and Université Libre de Bruxelles.
Also, he was Scientific Associate of the Minister of Environment & Energy (2015-2018) and member of the Board of Directors at DEDA S.A. (Public Gas Distribution Networks) (2017-2019)
